DIY: Marni Pannier Bucket Bag
When I begin planning my spring/summer wardrobe, I knew that I wanted to incorporate bucket bags into my accessory list. I happen to come across the Marni Pannier Bucket Bag when I was researching bucket bag styles on Pinterest. I really loved the handle detail and decided to give it the ole DIY try. My first bag was made with red faux leather, and I really learned from that experience, which made the second bag come together fairly quickly.
The only pattern adjustment I made was removing the seam allowance at the top of the main bag piece pattern and lining piece. To see how I assembled the bag to include the half-round handle, you can watch this video on IGTV. This will be a two part series. Part 1 shows I assembled the main bag piece and attached the handle, and that video can be viewed on Instagram or Facebook. Part 2, will be posted next week, and that video will show how I made the lining and finished the bag. My supply list plus pattern adjustment can be found below. If you try this, please let me know, I would love to see your version!
